LA Comic Con was a blast and we’ve got the photos to prove it ;)
We had so much fun with Will Meldman and Brock O’Hurn, the creators of the Kane Comic Universe, at LA Comic Con 2023!
Brock is not only a famous actor, model, and influencer, but the real life inspiration for the look of the hero Kane… Can you tell? ;)
Tony Donley, one of the Kane comic artists, was at our booth sketching Kane for fans.
Across from us was master-rogue Shawn Crahan from Slipknot, who had a wonderful time getting to know fans one-on-one and without a mask :)
We all had a blast with Connor Esterson, the co-star from the new Spy Kids movie Armageddon! Connor is doing a project with us a comic book called Brother’s Code. He is going to be the star of the comic like Brock is the star of Kane :) Connor signed posters for fans and recorded a podcast with us. Kids are one of the best parts of comic cons!
Deirdra Eden, the international best-selling author of The Watchers series and award-winning artist, connected with fans young and old, signing her books and moderating our panel! We were lucky enough to get to know Susan Peik, Deirdra’s editor on The Watchers series, and we hope to keep her in the Rogue-fam!
Sam and Dalia, our art directors, did sketches for fans as part of their very first Comic Con experience – we look forward to many more together. I’m in the picture below with lavender hair; I’m Ami Mariscal, head of marketing at Rogue Matter :)
Deirdra and Michael Dolce, our Chief Creative Officer, moderated a panel, Going Rogue In Hollywood, with guests (from left to right in the photo below) Trent Olsen, our Editor-In-Chief and Wrighter of Wrongs (tee hee), Donovan Carter, who costarred as “Vernon” in HBO’s Ballers, Sherwin Shilate, Emmy-nominated filmmaker, writer and director of Lucifer, Will Meldman, Chris Yan our Chief Business Officer, and Brock O’Hurn. Thank you all for your heartfelt, inspiring, and electric stories on going rogue in one of the hardest places to make it in the world – Hollywood!
We are partnering with LA Comic Con in multiple ways; one of them is Pitch Your Project. Creators from Artist’s Alley were invited to pitch us their projects and we see stars in the future for this relationship!
We announced from the main stage that we are partnering with at LA Comic Con and shared some of our upcoming projects. Starting in January we are releasing at least one new piece of content every week and a collection of stories every month. Whether it’s a comic book issue, book chapter, graphic novel, or book, we’ve got amazing stories on the way.
Every month we release a substantial amount of free content right here in the newsletter, so stay rogue, friends :)
Thank you to photographer Casey Schneider, who took all these wonderful photos (except the headshot of Brock:) Visit Casey on social media for more of his work: https://www.facebook.com/DefyFocus and https://twitter.com/defyfocus87
